In Russia production of PET amounted to 497 thousand tons by the end of 2015, that is 15% higher compared to the previous year. Import decreased significantly from 166000 to 65000 tons. This is due primarily to the fall of the ruble rate and higher prices of foreign products. Consumption also declined, the decline was 6% compared to 2014.
