Problems of solid waste and packaging waste management are considered practically in each issue of our magazine.
      The most part of materials is devoted to the European experience. In the offered article it is told about the American experience of waste management which is known much less to our readers. The article is prepared by Maria Landekhovskaya, who passed training in the USA - in Ohio Environmental Protection Agency - OEPA, Ohio Department of Natural Resources - ODNR, Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio - SWACO and company The Grossman Group, Inc. Within the limits of this training Maria visited more than 50 enterprises and the organizations working in the field of waste recycling in the USA.
